Dr. Jim Williams is board-certified in family medicine since 2001. He completed his undergraduate at University of Virginia and medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Williams completed his training at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He served as chief resident at Georgetown Family Medicine.
After graduating from medical school, he worked in private practice with his father for 10 years. He went on to join Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) Sibley Memorial Hospital, where he worked for three years as the site’s office medical director. Dr. Williams has been on staff at Sibley Memorial Hospital, Washington, D.C since 2010.
Academic appointments for Dr. Williams have included Georgetown University and George Washington University. He acted as clinical professor of family medicine at Georgetown Medical School from 2002-2011. He served as clinical professor of family medicine at George Washington Medical school from 2012 – 2014.
Since 2015, Washingtonian magazine has recognized Dr. Williams as a “Top Doctor in DC.”
Dr. Williams lives in N.W. Washington, D.C. with his wife and four children.
